Your Data Rights
What we hold about you, why we hold it, and how to take control of it.
Core disclosure
- Broker Battles is an independent broker ranking and community voting platform.
- Rankings are editorial and community votes are opinions; neither is financial advice, a regulatory assessment or an endorsement.
- Brokers do not pay to be listed or ranked, and voting is free. We may earn a commission when you open an account through some broker links; commission never changes rankings.
- Trading and investing involve risk of loss. Users should do their own due diligence before using financial services.
What we collect
Account data: email address and sign-in details. Activity data: the brokers and arenas you voted for, and when. Broker entry data for brokers: company name, website, contact name and business email. Technical data: IP address and basic device information, used for security and to prevent vote abuse.
Why we use it
To run your account and count your votes (performance of a contract), to publish vote totals (legitimate interests), to prevent fraud and abuse (legitimate interests), and for optional analytics (only with your consent).
What is public
Only total vote counts per broker are public. We never publish who voted, your email address or your name. Approved broker listings publish business information only, never a personal contact name or email address.
How long we keep it
Account and vote data for as long as your account is open, then up to 12 months after closure for abuse prevention. Technical logs for up to 12 months. Analytics data, if ever enabled, for up to 14 months.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent for analytics at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer. Deleting your account removes your votes from the totals.
How to make a request
Email support@brokerbattles.com from the address on your account, with the subject 'Data request'. We respond within 30 days, free of charge. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to your national data protection authority, or to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.
Who we share data with
Our hosting and database provider, our email provider, Google or Apple if you sign in with them, and Logo.dev (broker logos, which sees your IP address), each only to the extent needed. We never sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising profiling.
