Prize Rules
The full rules of the promotional prize competition: who can enter, how the pot is funded, and how prizes are awarded.

The promotion
Broker Battles is a promotional skill and community-backing competition run by Velivion Ltd. It is not betting, gambling, a lottery, an investment or a financial product. No outcome depends on chance: the side of a battle holding the highest total money backed when the published countdown ends is the winner, and every total is visible to everyone throughout.
Who can enter
Entrants must be 18 or over, must hold an account with a confirmed email address, and must not be located in a restricted country. Restricted countries currently are: the United States, Canada, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, Cuba, and any country subject to EU or UN sanctions. Employees of Velivion Ltd, their immediate families and anyone involved in running the competition may not win prizes. We may refuse or cancel an entry we believe to be fraudulent, automated, duplicated or in breach of these rules.
How the pot is funded
The prize pot for a battle is funded entirely from the entry money paid by the two brokers competing in that battle — a fixed 20% share of their combined seat money. No part of the pot comes from money backed by entrants. Backers' money is an entry fee for the competition and is never pooled, staked, invested or paid back out as winnings.
How prizes are decided
When a battle's countdown ends, the broker with the higher total money backed wins. Everyone who backed that winning side shares the battle's pot in proportion to the amount they backed. Backers of the losing side receive nothing. In the event of an exact tie, the side that reached its total first wins. Our published totals are final; where a payment is later reversed, charged back or found to be fraudulent, that amount is removed from the totals and from the share calculation.
Prizes only — no cash
Prizes are awarded as goods, services and credits only. There is no cash alternative and no cash payout under any circumstances. Prizes may include funded trading capital, gift cards, gadgets, broker perks such as cashback, spread rebates, VPS hosting or premium tools, and Broker Battles merchandise. Stated values are indicative retail values. We may substitute a prize of equal or greater value where a prize becomes unavailable.
Claiming a prize
Winners are notified by email at the address on their account within 14 days of a battle closing, and must claim within 30 days by confirming their identity and delivery details. Prize fulfilment may require identity verification and acceptance of the prize supplier's own terms — for example a broker's terms for funded capital or rebates. Unclaimed, undeliverable or declined prizes are forfeited and may be re-awarded or withdrawn. Prizes are personal to the winner and may not be sold or transferred.
Taxes and costs
Winners are responsible for any taxes, duties, import charges or other personal costs arising from a prize, and for declaring a prize to their tax authority where required.
Cancellation and changes
If a battle or tournament has to be cancelled for reasons outside our control, we will publish the outcome and either refund the affected backing payments or carry them forward to the replacement battle, at the entrant's choice. We may amend these rules where necessary for legal or operational reasons; the version published at the time a battle closes governs that battle.
